Okay, the sitcom metaphor was pure gold. And now you've got me fantasizing about waking up to being spooned by a muscly Sheldon.

It's quite the nice fantasy, isn't it? I started thinking about how Leonard/Penny switch sides, depending on whose bed they're in, and the rest kind of spooled off of that. Thanks for commenting!

"It's just… how long did he and I do that whole Ross-and-Rachel, on-again off-again thing!"

Sheldon frowned at her. "Who are-"

"Doesn't matter. I'm just saying that, if our life were a sitcom, we would've had better ratings if Leonard and I had figured out things a lot earlier."

Excuse me, I'll be done laughing hysterically sometime tomorrow morning. So much meta right there.

This was great!

Oh my goodness, THANK YOU! All of the ranting, and the Ross/Rachel-ing, and the LAST NAME gripes just being...RESOLVED! You made it look effortless, really! :) This was made of win and if I could climb through my screen I would so I could hug you!

I'll take that virtual hug, thanks! And I'm glad this worked as I'd hoped. We sometimes get so stuck on the episode-by-episode movements that we forget the big picture. Even if the last episode is Leonard and Penny getting married (please heavens no), we can see that as a mistake along the way, a dream sequence, whatever, and rewrite it to make more sense.

Assuming any of us are still watching by then....

Yes, something to right all the wrongs of the day. Loved the so called nightmare.

Gave up reading fanfic for Lent, so I haven't actually read this, but it's definitely going on the list!
APRIL 5, HURRY UP.
