Oh god I didn't even think Leslie and Ben, their nerd hearts might explode from overstimulation -- it was more the young married couple thing that made me come up with the idea. But really my deepest wish in life is pretty much just to see all my favorite characters on the TARDIS. Not a lot to ask, I feel.
Steven Moffat actually described Amy and Eleven as "the perfect couple" into whose midst he had thrown Rory in an interview recently -- which honestly makes me question what the hell he's doing. Does he want us to be invested in Amy/Eleven or -- what? (Because I am!)
Huh, that is kind of ridiculous. Haven't seen that interview myself, you have linkage?
It's funny though -- I feel like most of the time the cast, crew, and production team are pretty solid in their description of Amy and Eleven's relationship as AMBIGUOUS above all things, but then Moffat just...doesn't do anything with it? I mean, there are enough things thrown in around the fifth series and this episode that there's something for us to hold onto, obviously, but I really wonder if he plans on anything with it...or if it's always going to run into the brick wall that is Rory the Roman.
