I thought I felt well enough yesterday and today to make another stab at working. It was a monumental failure. I lasted 3 hours before taking a nose dive. My concentration, focus, and motor skills have been shot since I went off the drugs and I'm finding myself still dizzy, light-headed, and feverish. I tried to go to work today and "tough it out" like my Dad always said when I was sick as a kid. I lasted 3 hours and threw in the towel. I really wanted to stick it out but I was just too fried from the drug withdrawl. I'm experiencing nausea, dizziness and having trouble focusing or concentrating. As the artificial serotonin leaves my mind the more my body punishes me with more vivid and creepy dreams. It's like there was a dam for 8 years held up by a single plank of wood that I just kicked loose - a dam that held back a tsunami of psychological illness, anxiety, despair, uncertainty and anger ( Read more... )

Since going off the drug I've been having constant dreams and nightmares. I didn't dream at all when I was on the drug - maybe once every 3 months, but now it's every night and I don't like it ( Read more... )

I don't know if it's the lack of medication or if it's lady_lucrezia's fault but the last 2 nights I have dreamt of Zombies... and I don't like it!

Oh yeah. The Zombies *ALWAYS* win.

I've had it with medication. I've been on this drug called Effexor to treat depression since I was 18 (that's 8 years ago!) and I have about 80 extra pounds to show for it. Well no more. Chemical happiness isn't for me, I want the real thing. I've been lowering my dose for the past 6 months and I halfed it again today to basically nothing ( Read more... )
