This really annoyed me. After like 16 teenagers were knifed up good in London this year, what does it take to spark the public outcry and mass protests that the first knifing merited? Can you guess? Celebrity endorsement, through the unfortunate circumstances of Ben Kinsella's untimely kniferation.

Further to last week's post- it has been revealed that The American Family Association, an influential right wing Christian group, was largely responsible for the Heinz 'gay kiss' advert being withdrawn.

The residents of a Romanian town have elected a dead man as their mayor, it emerged today. The late Neculai Ivascu, who had run Voinesti for 18 years, was re-elected to the post.
