For the second chapter of theiconquest, themed Mentors, we had the option of either iconning mentor figures, or find inspiration from other icons, or other makers. I chose the latter

I think you did a great job with the text! Especially love 6, 15, 16, 21, and 26's.

Thank you, I am glad you think so! :D I think of my icon posts so far since getting back, this one is where I'm getting a whole bunch for myself, since I had to be a lot more creative with the text.

Thank you so much! I have LOTS and LOTS of respect for neversleeps right now, I spent a LOT of time on those 10 icons. It was both an overabundance of fonts AND not enough fonts, funnily--I had moved computers and thought that instead of copying over EVERY FONT I OWN, I'd copy it in batches, starting with A, and filter as I go along. Well, I am STILL at A and I have too many A fonts -_- and not enough fonts of differing styles, haha.

I really like the effect of her typography though, it really pops :)

As someone who is just horrible at text, I salute you for making these! :) The typography in #002 is my favorite -- stunning, really. ♥

Thank you thank you thank you! :D I agree, I really like the way 002 came out--a little less pleased with the background image (it may be that I'm just not a green person though) but am quite happy to get all of that in, not lose any definition, and not lose any context either. Dashberlin's style is so elegant, and coupled with the bright colors--really stunning.

I think the background image is fine though! :) The greens and yellows are lovely. I think the icon would look great on its own. The text gives it more oomph though, haha. ♥

And yes, I agree, dashberlin makes lovely, lovely icons. Her animated icons in particular are seriously gorgeous. :) I love her Spirited Away icons so, so much!
