On the making of inspirational wallpapers

I love customizing my desktop, and I've always wanted to do something like the inspirational wallpapers I've seen around. For the past couple of months, my wallpaper has been a fairly tame continuation of what I had here, although that is for my now-semi-retired Macbook

OMG! This is amazing!
I wish there was something like this for Windows too because, honestly, putting up a wallpaper with TONS of icons in it it's frustrating!

Try Rainmeter :D It's been a while since I've used it, but a quick search yielded this plugin for Rainmeter: http://rainmeter.net/cms/Plugins-Quote_beta -- it seems to be able to do randomized images in a directory too.

Yeah, I've been using it for quite some time, but the image slideshow I'm using now just show 1icon at the time, and refresh every 3 seconds! XD Not sure if I'd be able to edit those things to have more images LOL I'd just make my pc explode!

Haha, I do remember memory problems with I was on Windows XD you're right, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to have so many things refreshing every 3 seconds, eeeep. I'm actually thinking of lowering my refresh rate to like five minutes.

Aww, that's okay! The whole markup thing I have there doesn't even need to be done. I am just too lazy and fiddly, and I didn't want to drag and drop ~72 image geeklets to my desktop XD
