So last weekend I got to watch Pitch Perfect, which was a fun light movie; I really enjoyed the songs and the humor and Skylar Astin. Thank you! ♥ There were a fair amount of HD quality stuff, like the official trailers and whatnot, and resizing them down to 100x100 really helped in the quality department XD

What the helllll, how did you make these icons from Youtube video caps?! That. Is. Nuts. I agree that the quality is beyond amazing considering your source material. My favorites are 3 (love the coloring and lighting), 5 (great moody coloring and creative use of text) and 18 (again, colors, and I like the borders). Love the text composition in 21, and all your cutouts! I can tell a lot of work went into these icons for such a deceptive theme like "simplicity."

Thank you so much!! I didn't think I'd spend so much time on these, to be honest! I thought I'd just color them nice and quick and be done with it, as without the usual culprits for complexity (text, blending/blocking/etc) are out of the picture. But oh gosh. I've realized that with simple icons you end up fiddling with so many many many things because the littlest issue looks really noticeable on them DDD:

Omfg these are youtube caps? I wouldn't have known, the icons look so good!
The coloring and softness in the background really works out well for your icons! Love them!
