Okay. Okay, you guys. This is kind of a massive post. I'm a little floored at the number of icons, especially since I spent most of March in a veritable icon funk, causing me to not finish a bunch of challenges I wanted to participate in. But there is that aforementioned Jane Austen battle and I got a little cap-happy with The Shannara chronicles

Yay, Shannara Chronicles! It's such a guilty pleasure show. My dad got me sucked into it and so many lines/acting choices/predictable storylines made me groan, but it's so pretty and also kinda interesting. Great muted coloring in 3, vibrant coloring in 5 and 14, and use of negative space in 17 and 18. I love the texture use and vibrant colors in 25, as well as the negative space and texture use in 30, 32 and 33

Thank you so much! Super glad to hear your thoughts on which ones worked well :D I am super happy at how 80 turned out as well, I had a lot of problems with my previous icon for that theme in the battle ("costume porn") so when I watched that scene I just knew I had to change it and use it.

And yes to all the Shannara comments! It's so pretty and overall the storyline was intriguing, but so much acting awkwardness! I saw this review of the series and how the three younger leads sometimes "stole the show" and I'm just here shaking my head lol. Still, looking forward to seeing season 2 if they do make it, and in the meantime I might actually pick up The Elfstones of Shannara or whichever book should come first in that world.

Thank you! :) It was great fun to do! And yes, P&P&Z was a very refreshing movie imo. Just don't expect it to be like the book haha they do deviate and make use of a few liberties, but it's Austen and it's zombies. What's not to love? :D

Haha! Yeah I wanted to have an icon to use myself, though I know the LJ icon community is kind of like...dead really, to have much impact or interest in Heneral Luna icons. But still, why not, right? :)
