[42] Travel + random things I like

I've been meaning to make icons of some of my trips for a while now, mostly because I have a thing about my userpics being a somewhat accurate representation of things I like and/or are useful, and so I wanted to get a few trip shots in there. The current theiconthrone theme challenge is "all about me", so I decided I would do icons from photographs I've taken

Also, you've been to Japan! I so want to travel there... And my vacation in Australia is one of the best I've ever had.

And yeah, I've been to both solo (the rest here, I was with others)! I did have friends I stayed with for two cities in Australia, but I figured it was high time I was able to travel on my own. End result is that I could, but I still can't if it's difficult to plan how to get around in a country as I'm a natural coward (lol) who needs to know exactly what's going to happen if I'm doing something I'm nervous about. I plan things to the teeth and then mix things up when I'm on the ground and have got my bearings :)

I love traveling solo. I plan the general outlines like how I'm getting around, the places I'm staying in and places I want to visit that might need booking in advance. Other than that I just decide when I'm there what I want to do. In Australia I was solo for half of my trip, the other half I stayed with my sister who lives in Perth. It was just amazing.
