I don't really have anything to say, except that I read My Girlfriend is a Gumiho first as My Girlfriend is Gumbo and got really excited for a second? Am terrified what this says about me.

I had that same reservation to Irene being M, too, but I think on balance I'm okay with it. I mean, it was what I wanted to see since ages, so that's probably the controlling factor. But I also feel like his whole thing about The Woman wouldn't make sense in the modern context any other way? I can buy that the original Holmes didn't have contact with a lot of women, but for Elementary!Sherlock to have her set apart to that level needs an explanation such as "being completely in her thrall." But it's something I (clearly) had some reservations about too.

I'm not sure I understand? D'you mean it's like a subversion of the One Special Girl trope? If so then yeah, I guess I'd prefer this twist to the straight love story.

YAY first post I've seen from my new journal! In order to honour it I won't complain about how much I miss my old journal. SO. (No complaints!)

I have not seen any of the new Sherlock shows but I feel like I would ship Joan/Sherlock, or perhaps Joan/absolutely anything. I just like all the Lucy Liu GIFs that invade my dash.
