LOL @ your overwhelming love for the ep. I didn't actually think it was the greatest thing ever, but apparently it gave me a lot of thoughts.
I mean, "mad ridiculous hyper-active boyish professor" could equally well describe Ten?Okay, that part, yeah. The bowtie part, no. And I think that while Ten and Eleven are essentially very similar, Eleven is superficially way more out there. Like, the wardrobe. And the way he goes out of his way to behave like a 12 year old sometimes. Slash mad alien. Which is stark contrast to the stone-cold sociopathic way he behaves at other times. That gives me the impression that the former is in large part an act, a way to keep people at a distance and control his own image. It's just the extremity of Eleven's different sides? Plus, Eleven has different coping mechanisms than Ten (with the exception of this last episode) -- whereas Ten was openly and often loudly miserable, Eleven pretends he's not miserable and just latches on to some distraction or other. It's the same issues

Haha it wasn't too overwhelming. But I did like it WAY more than most Christmas specials, which generally aren't that good. And recently haven't been original... at all. But I was nervous that everyone would be like "NO! POND FOREVA" and hate Clara, which has happened in certain quarters. But tumblr has been obliging for once. So there's that :)
Okay, that part, yeah. The bowtie part, no.
HE HAD CONVERSE THOUGH.

It's the same issues manifesting in more extreme ways, IMO.Okay, I accept that. Thanks for clearing

I just will never understand that Karen/Matt picture. Is he drawing something into the ground with a stick? Digging a hole? And why is Karen so charmed? We just don't know.

I REALLY LIKED IT. I GET SECOND-HAND EXCITED WHENEVER IT'S WELL RECEIVED.
Honestly, Christmas Specials tend not to do much for me due to the fact I am a Grinch to the bone, what up.
