i've been avoiding this internet craze for awhile now, but, lately, i've been wanting to share my writing with others, maybe meet a few people along the way. we'll see how that goes.

I like the internet because in this age/generation, in spite of the global shrinkage that technology has instigated, people are more disconnected than ever. What I have found is that the internet distills experience and interest down to the most intense we have. Meeting people in the world these days can be a crapshoot; here you cut out the pleasantries and middlemen and come face to face with the core.

Ok I'm rambling, but I'm in an expansive mood today. Good to meet you :)

it's been good to meet you too. i've always been wary of the internet, hard to know who to trust and how much.

yes, know what you mean. when I first got on, I was like a blind baby rhinoceros in a china shop. I ran into a couple people who, if I were smarter/less resilient, would have chased me right back out of here. But the majority of people I have met have been genuine, not into playing mind games, and just interested in talking. The best friends I have here are writers--we talk shop :)

that's primarily what i want, someone to talk to writing about. people almost chased you out of here? that's pretty low of them.
