I want to start posting stuff about fostering and how its going with our 10 year old girl that we have had since June 8th. Is it easy to make a journal friends only? Because I can't work out how to do it. If ever I actually get a moment free to!!!
Hope you are all well. xxxx

Congrats on your foster daughter. I've had several foster kids and 98% of my experience has been extremely rewarding. I applaud your efforts and hope your little girl realises how special her foster mum is.

As far as making friends only, when you make a post you'll see down at the bottom several options, like location, mood, etc and you'll see one that says: "Show this post to" and you'll see anyone. There's a drop down window where you can select options. If you've made friend filters, you can chose one. If you haven't any filters, you can make them by going to manage friends and follow the steps to make filters. Just take your time and play with the options and you'll soon get the hang of it.

Good Luck! if you need anymore help, feel free to drop me a note and I'll be happy to help.

Ooh thank you, I will try that when I finally get round to starting this. The reports etc that I have to make take up so much time, I barely have time to sleep!
I didnt know that you fostered! Thank you for your lovely comment. I think the main problem is going to be getting too attached, he he.

Hi Jan, congratulations! :) I believe there is a check box in your account settings page to make all posts friends only from then on. Or, you can set up a 'filtered' friend group. You can select that group from the drop down menu at the bottom of your post page. Our friend Lisa is an expert at this kind of stuff. What the comment above says! lol

I think your question has been answered. How is Miss C? If you want info on her levels Im happy to take a look but need an example of her writing (an independent story or something) and maths. Perhaps I can go through some stuff with her if I am free at all over the summer and she would like a bit of free tutoring.

She has her moments Wendy, but it is really rewarding.

She was at the hospital Friday and Saturday with suspected appendicitis but has been given the all clear now. I think it may have been a stress thing as she had her review on Thursday and was very worked up about it.

Her school says that she is below the level she should be - and I have been told not to attempt to help her with maths as I learned subtraction a totally different way. If you did have any time I would really appreciate any help - you were certainly a big hit with her! The origami has pride of place on her shelves. Shes is in bed now but tomorrow I will ask her if she will be bringing her books home at the end of term. Thanks for the offer - if you don't have the time free, don't worry though. xxx
