I have just joined a community and it is flooding my friends page. I want to just be able to click into it when I want to read it, but for it not to come up automatically. I am sure that there is a way of doing it, but cannot remember how to do it. Anyone know please?

you could just save the home page to your favorite list on Explorer and click on it when you want to look, that's what I do.

Oooh, who are you and how did you find me? Lol. Thanks for the input. I am a bit thick where lj is concerned so would I have to 'unfriend' the community to do that, do you know? It was one of those that I had to apply to join so I don't really want them to kick me out. I thought there was a way to 'watch' them by me clicking into their name in my user info instead of it showing automatically - but I am darned if I can remember how to do it, lol.

You can set up different friends lists. One would be like "everybody" who is in your friends list, another one everybody minus this community and a third list this community alone. This way you can select who you want to read about.

That's how I do it with different communities in my list.

Oooh, spooky! I have been pondering this all day and had come to the conclusion it must be something like this. I have just actually finished making a group with just that community in it and then got stuck. I will go back now and make the other one up - but I cannot work out how to just view one. I have only ever used that to filter people out of MY entries before. I will have a look see if I can figure it out. Thanks. :)

Yay, thank you, I found the filter friends page. I cannot believe that I couldn't find it earlier! Thanks again.
