I went to see The Golden Compass, and it was everything I had hoped it to be and more.  Even though the ending credits said it was based on the book "The Northern Lights."  They stopped a bit short of the books ending, but it was a good place to stop for a movie.  They also changed the order of events around a bit, but all and all I think that made
