✖ Schedule
Please post your schedule here. And note you will have to change your schedule each semester. That's how colleges roll.
Each course students take at Evergrove are worth a certain number of 'credit hours', usually ranging between 1 and 4. Most general classes are worth 3 credit hours. Many science courses with lab are worth 4, the lecture portion counting for 3 of the hours and the lab counting for 1 hour.
A general rule of thumb is the credit hours a course is worth is how much time students will spend in that class per week. So an English course worth 3 credits will meet for about three hours per week. However, this isn't always the case. Many music performance courses are only worth 1 credit hour but meet for longer than that. And while labs might be worth 1 credit hour, they often meet for three hours or longer just one day a week.
Classes at Evergrove run from 7:30AM until about 9:00PM and occur in roughly 1.5 hour blocks. There are ten minutes between each class time to travel around campus. Most classes meet either on Monday and Wednesday, or on Tuesday and Thursday. Some meet on Friday or Saturday but for the whole 3 hours instead of just 1.5 hours over two days. However, unlike in high school, there is not a set lunch time. Students need to remember to work a time for lunch into their day by not scheduling a class when they want to eat. The following are the times when classes occur (if the class is a lab and only meets once a week, double up two times):
07:30AM-08:50AM
09:00AM-10:20AM
10:30AM-11:50AM
12:00PM-01:20PM
01:30PM-02:50PM
03:00PM-04:20PM
04:30PM-05:50PM
06:00PM-07:20PM
07:30PM-08:50PM
The following are some some examples of what a Freshman I (first semester Freshman) schedule might look like. Note the available time to eat lunch. (Students are perfectly free to not schedule themselves a break, but there is no eating or drinking in classes, water being the ONLY exception.) MTWRFSSU is how the scheduling days work. Most colleges group together MW, and TR. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, thuRsday, and Friday.
