Fic: Our very first christmas

Summary: Matt and Aiden spent their first christmas together.

‘MATT!’ ‘MAAAAAATTT!’ Aiden shouted as hard as he could.
The front door wasn’t that far away from him but he still got no answer. Matt probably was still sleeping since it was only nine in the morning.
‘Damnit!’ Aiden tried to get his phone out of the pocket of his jeans but it wasn’t that easy, especially in the position he was standing in. After several tries he finally got Matt on the phone.
‘Hmpf what?’
‘It’s me, get out of bed,’ he demanded.
‘Why?’
Matt sounded really sleepy but he really needed him, even though he didn’t want to admit it.
‘Just get out of bed and come to the lift.’
‘The lift?’
‘Yes, now come on, please hurry up!’
Aiden quickly hung up and waited for Matt to come.
When he did, his reaction was exactly what Aiden expected.
‘O MY GOD HAHAHAHHA! AIDEN HOW- WHAT- OH HAHAHA!’
Matt almost dropped onto his knees laughing.
‘My stomach! Oh it hurts, oh no I’m going to cry!’ Matt laughed.
‘Stop laughing, it’s not funny!’
Aiden tried to say seriously but failed when his giggles came out at the same time.
‘Can you just help me?’
Matt wiped away his tears as he walked towards Aiden. Just before he helped him, he leant forward to press a kiss on his lips.
‘You’re amazing, Aid.’
Aiden was stuck between the doors, while they were opening and closing over and over again. He tried to keep the doors from closing with his foot. The Christmas tree had fallen over when Aiden pushed the buttons. Matt pushed the Christmas tree to the back of the lift so it wouldn’t land on Aiden again. This was probably not the way Aiden intended to get the tree inside.
‘You do know that you can wrap your Christmas tree at the place you bought it, right?’
‘You can?’
Matt laughed once again.
‘Yeah silly!’
‘How should I know!? I never bought one before!’
Matt couldn’t help but laugh again. He got the Christmas tree and both of them walked back to their apartment.
Once they were in and the tree was standing at the right place, Matt turned to face Aiden.
‘I thought you didn’t want a Christmas tree?’ he asked out of curiosity.
‘I kind of wanted to surprise you, because I know how much you love Christmas.’
Matt reached for both ends of Aiden’s scarf and pulled him closer. He noticed a needle from the tree and took it out of his hair.
‘Oh lovely, now my quiff has turned into a tree.’ Aiden joked.
A silence between them took place but not long after Matt couldn’t hold it in any longer.
‘I love you,’ he said suddenly.
‘That’s the first time you said that since- well you know.’
Matt smiled in response.
‘I know, and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. I knew it was the right choice to be with you, to spend Christmas with you, to begin a new year with you. It took me a while to realize, but hey, I’m here now.’
‘Yes you are, but just come a little bit closer,’ Aiden said with the biggest grin on his face.
Matt got closer and closer until their lips connected again. Just when Matt started to undress Aiden, Aiden broke the kiss. Matt didn’t say anything but pouted his lips and tried to look very sad.
‘NO! Matt, no! You shouldn’t look sad, because you laughed at me so hard you have to decorate the tree.’
‘Okay, okay I will.’
Matt paused and looked Aiden in the eyes.
‘After we have sex?’ he said with a cheeky grin.
‘Ohh no! You have to do it now, and you can’t get dressed!’
‘But I’ll get cold!’
‘Like I care. You look hot in just undies so I won’t allow you to get dressed. Plus I’ll make sure you get all hot and warm again afterwards.’ Aiden said with a wink.
‘I’ll keep that in mind!’ Matt grinned. ‘Now put on some music so I can dance while decorating the tree.’
‘Oh god, is it weird that I would really, really like to see that?’ Aiden said and immediately went looking for a CD to fill the room with music.
