Aiden walked towards the front door and before he knew it, it was opened. Not by Matt, but by his girlfriend Sarah. He greeted her and she smiled back. ‘He’s inside. I’m off to work. Bye!’ She said quickly. ‘Bye, bye!’ He replied and stepped inside.
As Aiden walked inside he noticed Matt was sitting in the living room, watching some rubbish television. ‘So you kissed a guy and you’re pretty much a addict to sex.’ He began when he stepped into the room. Matt jumped off the sofa and ran into Aiden’s arms. ‘Aiden! You’re back. When did you come back? You should’ve called me!’ Aiden just smiled and headed for the sofa. Matt followed and sat next to him.
‘Now I am one to say something. Why didn’t you tell me you did a photo shoot for GT! A naked one!’
‘Not a naked one! Just.. just one without a shirt one.’ Matt mumbled.
‘That is practically the same with that body of yours!’ As soon Aiden said that he turned bright red. ‘I mean, you could’ve at least told me.’
‘So, what did you think of it?’
‘You look amazing.’ Aiden simply replied.
‘Be honest with me, Aiden.’ Matt insisted.
‘I am. Honestly! The interview was great, and those shots of you were just.. you. I like that.’
‘Really? You mean that? You are not joking with me?’
‘No, you really do look good, Matt.’ Aiden smiled. Matt looked down and actually seemed relieved. ‘Did someone say it wasn’t?’ Aiden asked.
‘Not really. Just, well, Sarah and I haven’t had sex in.. well.. months.’ Matt sighed. ‘I thought it was me, or my body or something. I don’t know. It’s like we’re drifting apart.’
‘Do you still love her?’
‘What kind of question is that!’ Matt said loud.
‘You heard me. Do you still love her?’ Aiden said calmly.
Matt wasn’t even sure what or how to answer this question. Just the fact that he doubted this, was enough reason to let him know that he should stop this relationship he had with Sarah. Right?
‘I don’t think so. Damn it. I don’t know, Aiden. I really don’t know!’ Matt stood up and started wandering around with his hands covering his face. He pressed his hands in eyes that it almost caused him a headache. Aiden started noticing it and got up to give him a hug.
‘Mate, I didn’t mean anything with it, just get some rest and think things over, okay?’ He felt Matt nodding. Matt knew Aiden was right about this. He inhaled his scent. He smelled so good. Aiden always smelled good. As an immediate reaction he gave two kisses in his neck. Quickly he pulled away. He did it before, but not two kisses. It was the right thing to stop, because if he didn’t he would’ve continued. ‘I think you should go. You must be really tired. When did you come back again?’
Aiden just stood there, not in shock, but just staring at Matt. He wasn’t even thinking properly. ‘This morning.’
‘Go home. Get some rest.’ Matt said and wanted to sit down on the sofa again and watch telly with some Stella.
‘No, Matt. I want to make sure you’re okay. I’m sorry what I said. I don’t want you to be upset or worry about it. Just forget what I said. Follow your instinct. I might have gotten the wrong idea about it all. You know what’s best.’ Aiden rambled on.
‘It’s okay, Aiden. Don’t worry about it.’ Matt said and gave him a smile. Aiden nodded and almost whispered his goodbye.
Later that day Aiden was lying on his bed when he got a text.
Sarah and I broke up. You were right, I wasn’t in love with her anymore. But you must know this Aiden…
‘Know what? Damn you, Matthew. Where’s the rest of the text?’ Aiden said out loud. He heard the sound of a new text message. Quickly he opened it.
I never doubted my love for you. And I wanted to give you three kisses today, maybe even more.
Aiden couldn’t stop smiling. Was this for real? He knew he loved Matt, and he thought several times that Matt might loved him back but he never had the guts to ask him.
Where are you right now?
Close.
Is your face pressed against my front door to check if I’m coming down?
Maybe. Come and see.
