*sighs happily*

I love reading your rants/rambles on this kind of thing.

AND YES. THAT'S EXACTLY HOW I INTERPRETED THAT PART OF HARRY POTTER. He had a lot of prejudice against Slytherin, which is part of what made him suit Griffindor!

True self yes. True inner self. Not necessary for both to exist. I think that each person has a 'core' of who they are, but experiences shape almost everything about a person - so it isn't internal at all.

Awww that makes me happy! :)

YES thank you! Exactly. He hardly knew anything about it and hadn't experienced Slytherin personally or anything, but from what he did know he knew he didn't want any part of it. And he didn't know anything about HIS "true inner self" or whatever, he was just like 'um, no'. AHHH I love Harry, he's totally my favorite character. <3

*grins*
We really need to skype again, and this time bring up something like this and go on rants and then it won't be stilted like last time =P

=D Yes yes yes. The quote about choices is one I live by.
Harry wasn't my favourite, mainly because the way he behaved a lot of the time had me going 'these people are your friends STOP treating them like crap' XD all the while understanding why he was, of course.
My favourite was Ron. And Luna. And Neville. OKAY DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE.
Actually, it was probably Neville after the last book. Yup.
I always related the most to Hermione though.

Yeah we do haha.

Oh, Harry can be SO stupid and frustrating sometimes...but he's a good kid. <3 OHH BUT I ADORE NEVILLE! And Dumbledore, and Lupin. I think those are my four favorites. Although I pretty much love everyone I'm supposed to love (except Dobby and Hagrid, for some reason, both of which make me feel like a horrible person but w/e).
