crrry.

Okay. SO. Yuri doesn't believe he's good enough for Flynn. Not in a sort of LOW SELF-ESTEEM sort of way, Yuri doesn't think lowly of himself. It's just that he really, really wants Flynn to do great things, things he was never able to do and he knows Flynn can achieve this! But he doesn't believe Flynn would get there with Yuri at his side. Yuri's a criminal! Yuri has done things he's not proud of, things he would willingly do again if the need arose and that would just sort of tarnish Flynn's reputation. He hasn't forgotten Sodia and as he admitted to her, he doesn't think she's wrong in what she did.

Also (and I can't remember if I talked about this last meme or not IDK), Yuri is not a wanting person. It's just. Not in him. He's more "okay this person needs help" and he's happy with that. But he's been doing it for so long, he just sort of numbed wanting. Ever since Flynn's revelation of wanting Yuri, Yuri is mentally denying it and debating it! He's never thought of it before and frankly, he doesn't want to. But he knows ( ... )

Leto-Doctor - Leto has a strong amount of respect for the Doctor. And there's a strong bond of understanding between them, a sort of I get you. Which is very hard for Leto to find and something he deeply treasures. At the same time, Leto knows that the Doctor has a very high capacity of "love" and Leto cannot, cannot, cannot let people love him. Love will lead to personal selfishness and Leto can't have that, not after he's taken on the wormskin. It's his greatest fear that he'd fail, after everything he's done.

Still, Leto would do anything for the Doctor if there was a need for it.

Oz-Vincent - Vincent is a bane to his existence!!! Okay, no, they just sort of snipe at each other a lot, but very rarely does what Vincent tell Oz makes it to the long-term unless there's a particular bad incident attached it. Vincent's verbal snipes with no pain attached are fine! Oz may get upset, but give him five seconds and he's all better. Mostly, Oz wants to keep his distance from Vincent unless he has the upper hand.

Kirk-Veronica - Veronica ( ... )

HELLO... I have been failing at threading with you lately as much as I would like but talk to me about Mitchell and George because I am curious about your take on them :D

Okay, so. S2 was a very weird start for me in terms of George's development. George had just killed someone! Even if it was a vampire, it's not something George does lightly. He's not thinking about Herrick constantly, but he's got a dual sense of power. He's capable of things and yet, it's always a danger. But Mitchell is alive and okay, and that's what counts.

Mitchell is. A constant. There was life before Mitchell, which is a blur to George. He never really talks about his life before Mitchell, almost considering it to be non-existent. But, life post-Mitchell is different. Mitchell helped him on his feet, Mitchell was kind to him, Mitchell showed him how to live again. This is not a stretch! George was completely and utterly directionless until Mitchell came along. But more than that, George has a utter naivety in his trust for Mitchell. It doesn't matter what Mitchell is to George. It's Mitchell as a person that means the world to George, so much that when the time came and George had finally, finally seized on a chance of ( ... )

...YURI ON MITHOS?

Yuri doesn't have a super-strong impression of Mithos (clearly they need to thread more!!) beyond some general amusement. Partly because Mithos is snarky and clearly knows how to roll with Yuri's punchlines and secondly, because it's so obvious that Mithos is taken with Flynn and is in denial about it! Yuri might nudge that along (even if it turns out to be a crush, Yuri would nudge that along!) just to see what the end result is. He does wonder why Mithos is so mature for someone who's very young, but Yuri knows better than to judge someone by their appearances.

Mostly, you're Flynn's fanboy and that is amazing.

I DON'T KNOW IF ENOUGH HAS CHANGED WITH HARUKI AND RUKA BUT I AM HERE TO SAY HI ANYWAY??

evervigilante March 27 2010, 12:25:01 UTC
Well, there's the stuff I told you last time, but let's add on from that.

Haruki is just as embarrassed about the whole love-goo and bedfight as much as Ruka is, and he gets that Ruka wants his space, wants nothing to do with Haruki, so Haruki will give him that. Of course, that just sort of makes Haruki upset, feeling that he doesn't have the ability to fix things even though he was being truthful, but really, Haruki is respectful to people. More than anything, that's one of his principles that he sticks to, so even though the situation feels bad, he's willing to wait it out.
