ted, im not going to fight anymore, i have things to say to you, but im not because i dont want to hurt you (i know youre going to say 'oh dont worry about hurting me') and i really dont care if you think i see val as one way or the other, youre happy with her, so be happy, quit picking at a subject that makes everything worse. i could elaborate on what i really think, but i dont want to, because i want you to feel happy, and not question anything.

i think you're missing the point of ted's argument here. he's not angry because you don't like val. he's angry because you're spreading false rumours about her. you shouldn't spread rumors about people you barely know and situations you know nothing about. it isn't very nice. and it's also very annoying.
