In need of general advice:

If someone close to you did something which caused you great pain, but you only found out because you were untrusting, highly suspicious, and checked around, what do you do? Do you confront that person who has been lying to you for who knows how long? Or do you act as though you never found out, because you did not go about obtaining the truth in ( Read more... )

If they valued your friendship and your thoughts, they wouldn't have done the something that caused you great pain to begin with.

I think it's best to be upfront and honest to those whom you decide to have in your life or you'll just have that "stuff" in the back of your mind and it may further your aggression towards them until, possibly, you get an explanation. However, that explanation may not soothe the wounds either.

I say confront them so you can move on with the friendship, if one exists afterwards. If you keep it from them, that you know, your closeness will probably not be so strong for much further.
