i really miss the old crazy days of livejournal when we all posted regularly and had long comment wars and were more deeply involved in each others' lives. however, i'm happy we're still friends even though things are slower than they used to be.
Danielle, what is up with this picture!? Are you TRYING to push me back into my Bright Star induced melancholy? Waah!!!! :( Here was me watching it the other night, "Oh I love this! Oh, this is so pretty. So, so pretty!...This is intense. So intense...." Then I cried.
Um, I KNOW RIGHT? I loved this movie so much when I saw it at the cinemas but I absolutely have not been able to bring myself to watch it again because of what it does to me. Someday. I really want to but... for now I'm just going to look at nice pictures of sisters in purple fields and pretend nothing bad happened.
ACK, yes, we need to discuss this over cheeseburgers. It was bad. So bad. I was so glad I watched it by myself so I didn't have to defend my choice of "a depressing movie" to anyone. haha. Because I really did love it, I love the acting, Fanny's family, and just...swooon! Where they rap on the walls to each other, or when they're walking behind the cute redheaded sister and every time she turns to look at them they freeze...Those are the parts I'm thinking about and trying to forget the ending. :-|
We definitely do need to discuss this. And, actually, this whole conversation is making me feel like watching it immediately. See? You've helped me overcome this obstacle!
Well between very anonymous me and anonymous you I would just like to say that everydayjoy has equally awesome taste in the aforementioned things, and far superior taste in the following: clothing, crafts, and a general sense of style.
This anonymous (hereafter referred to as anonymous 1) is LOLing at her screen, and would be blushing prettily if that happened outside of Louisa May Alcott stories.
However, she denies the claims of anonymous 2 and would like to draw the attention of anonymous 2 in particular to her superior skill in the knitting of awesome things (including, but not limited to, fingerless gloves), her cooking of highly nomworthy treats, and also her crafting of three rather amazing small people, a craft which anonymous 1 hopes to someday practice but, even should she attempt such an endeavour, will still definitely bow to anonymous 2's extreme giftings and experience in the art sometimes known as the creation and care of babies.
Danielle, your genuineness, quiet strength, and overflowing love for life and people make me happy for the world and much more picky about who I call my friends. Because seriously you are like the best role model, especially in the areas of my life that are a lacking...zeal. I wish you were my big sister for realsies!
And for once I'm not even going to try to be anonymous.
