I believe in the audacity of beer.

Welcome to my world. There is never a canadte that I would vote for. It's a two party system and I don't support either party and I find that as time goes on they have to compromise to the middle so much that there really isn't much difference between Dems and the GOP.

I don't believe that McCain's VP choice was directed entirely by her sex and age. Look at Sarah Palin's connections with oil (husband works for BP), her track record on protection of endangered species (she has sued U.S. Fish and game to remove protection on the Polar Bear), and lobbying for open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for more drilling reveal a lot. It's still about oil, and more of the same.

While I agree that Obama has more flash than substance, I don't see a lot of substance from anyone. You can't win on substance; the system isn't set up that way.

Oh, and I don't think I have ever voted for any candidate other than the one I dislike the least, or the one I think can do the least damage.

I have rarely, if ever, picked a winner.

I feel ya, dude. My original candidate, Hillary, lost the Democratic race by a tiny bit, so now I'm left having to look really closely at the two candidates to figure out if I want to vote for either of them.
