The Oakland Unified School District is hiring scabs. Be a scab for a good cause! I have a good idea that I can't act on myself, but maybe somebody else can. My idea is to go get hired as a "temporary teacher". Act like a normal excited educator-to-be. Woohoo! I got the outreach job with St. James Infirmary! I'm the most excited! I can't stop using exclamation points! Wheeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to unfortunate circumstances (as in, REALLY bad customer service that resulted in screwing me over), I´ll be coming in to NYC tomorrow instead of today. That makes my first possible hanging out day Wednesday. I miss you all and I can´t wait to go home (in the general sense, of knowing where I am, speaking the language, and having friends).

Things are so much better today. I made a friend and she´s really nice. She´s not so into hanging out at the Queeruption space either, because she´s concerned about the toxicity of the place (she has a point). We went back to Las Ramblas today, then to La Bocqueria- an open air market, and then to the beach. The beach was really nice. Yay for ( Read more... )
