You know, that's the exact thing they're teaching us with our faith sharing groups at seminary. We all talk about what God is doing in our day to day lives, but it's all listening. One person talks, and no one responds. Not even after the person is done talking. The idea of the group is not to listen so that you can find something to respond to - it's to listen so you can hear how God is moving in the lives of people around you. It's really quite amazing and it's really helping me to shut my mouth a little bit more and open my mouth a little bit less...
you did it!!!throw_popcornSeptember 27 2005, 15:25:47 UTC
I am so with you on #4 and #12. #19 - I don't usually write letters to God instead of praying but I do sometimes write down prayers in my journal. I find that I learn alot about myself when I look back at them and see what God has done in and through me. He has proven Himself so faithful!

But there are some people that talk 90% of the time and listen 10%, those are the people that make me upset
