hmmmm, when's the last time we had a rousing game of fruitwacker. certianly, it's been too long.

one, thing i miss about western new york... autumn. clearly the best place to celebrate it because of leaves, cider, and our kick butt apples. (that chris destroys with paddles)

im not sure if you were there chris, but one year at tim's birthday party (not fall but still on the subject of apples) we loaded an apple into jon bright's potato gun. then stood about a foot from a tree and watched it instantly become apple sauce. and it truly was apple sauce. it was awesome.

I wasn't there but I seem to remember hearing that story. But I think you just inspired me to make a potato gun.

Autumn is definately treating me right so far. It's weird how everything gets super colorful then gets very plain very quickly. Go from orange, yellow, reds, greens, to just white in a span of 3 months.

PS - We still looking good for the 21st?

apple flingers ripe_with_time October 13 2005, 21:14:15 UTC
We used to abuse apples back in the 60's with pointed sticks, dearly named....Apple Flingers.... the object was to stab the apple, and set it sailing across the street at Mr Grasers garage. don't attempt this without adult suprevision, you could loose an eye....

Now that we are technically adults we can do all those things that we needed supervision. I say we start sharpening us up some apple fingers.

Hey :)
Ah, the great sport of fruit-whacking. (Banana(or watermelon) rugby is pretty fun too)
Was listening to Elliott Brood yesterday for the first time ever, and was very impressed. They play the banjo, which reminded me of when you mentioned that you were into the banjo, and since there is much pleasure in swapping musical tastes, I thought I should recommend them to you ;)
