It is good to see read you here. :D Now that I have dispensed with the amenities (barely), I just wanted to say - YOU ARE A GREAT WRITER!! I know what it feels like to lose your confidence but - honestly - you are one of the best writers I have read and I know that you are struggling with things but I think I have a theory on this

Thank you!!! I think some of my problem with characters is that I was so dedicated to making them nothing like any I've written in fic that I ended up taking all personality from them. "Hermione would do that, let me backspace...well, any rational person would have done that, so-- Oh, shit, are they TOO rational? Is their type of rational too much like Hermione's kind of rational?" This is what happens.
Very true about the feedback and knowing your audience! I might have to take you up on that in the thirty minutes after a rewrite that I'm tentatively okay with things and not positive it all needs to be destroyed. :/
The amygdala - I Google'd, lol. BUT WHO CARES, hazelnut chocolate needs no correct spelling for its deliciousness!

As a non-writer, I don't know what advice to offer you. I can send you some positive vibes though. o= *woosh* When you feel the freakout starting, just remember you are awesome. And you have tons of fans to remind you of that. Heck, I'm sure there's tons of fangirling of your writing on your tumblr tag. Still lacking confidence after that, reread your rave reviews for a boost. You rock! :)
And let me just reiterate what dhlane said above: you are amazing at character development. You've done wonders with main and minor characters who've grown and been fleshed out beyond their canon appearance. Justin from Finders is one of my favorite characters of yours. I just love him to bits.
Maybe to help out with your writing problems, you could take a break and come back to Dramione for a bit. ;)

Ahaha, I DON'T KNOW! I can't say I haven't thought about it, but I'm all burnt out on ideas for Dramione. I thought about doing one of those short fests or something, but I don't know. We'll see.

As to the karaoke mike-grabbing...you're talking to a mike hogger ;) no shame in singing your heart out to a bunch of strangers. Think about it: you probably won't be seeing them again :p
