So, living on my own in an ultra small town turns out to be not as difficult as I thought, but things are awfully expensive here, and it's annoying having to say hi/good morning with a big smile to every single person I pass by. Yet despite that, it's quite lonely here. Luckily the house I'm staying at is very small so it feels cozy ( Read more... )

unless the plant is in a very small pot, they only need to be watered once a week. just remembering too much water = dying plant as well. :P so...your dad really left huh?

Yeah, the big ones I'm only supposed to water once every two weeks, but then it's still scary because I know nothing about plants. o_O

Awww
You should make some friends, or bake..
Or go take pics of the train ^^
When tammy stayed over at my place she thought there was a blizzard going on outside.. but really it was just the trucks that go by on the highway..

Well, it's hard to make friends that would be good company when they are all geriatrics here. So basically, cooking and grocery shopping became my biggest joy. I also don't have much choice because there are a grand total of 3 restaurants here:

1) Steak place that is too far away to be worth the trip.

2) Bakery/restaurant thing with eggs, toasts, hash browns, sausages, etc. Might as well make my own.

3) Sucky, expensive Chinese restaurant with only sweet and sour pork/chicken, chicken fried rice and chicken chow mein combined into 12 different combos. Despite knowing the dangers of going to Chinese dining places in small towns, my dad and I ended up going there once anyway. = =
