Strange weather for Texas...

We are having some very strange weather around here. It is quite cold and icy. The grass isn't green...it is frozen white. The most surreal thing I have seen is palm trees frozen over. Yes, PALM trees frozen to a crisp. It is windy yet nature is not moving. Everything is frozen to a crisp. There are ICICLES hanging from our rooftop and even

For future reference: If you have a layer of ice on your windshield, smack it with the corner of the scraper. Try to get a spot to crack. Then you can use the scraper properly once you've got a weak spot.

Thanks! :) I thought about trying to crack the ice but was afraid I would crack the windshield. The credit card actually worked really well once I let some of the ice melt a bit with the defroster on. My parents want to switch cars with me for the rest of the winter. They just got a new one earlier this year and mine is a 2000. I will miss my vehicle, though. *sniffle*

Windshields are made to withstand pebbles and stuff flying at them at high velocity. The plastic of the scraper would snap before your windshiled even got a scratch ;) Long Island gets its fair share of rain-snow-ice storms, heh.
