visits
well, my parents are here visiting me, since wednesday is my birthday. they came bearing gifts from my siblings. brother & co. got me a nice sweater and a $25 barnes and noble gift card. sister & co. got me some HP candy, a dvd of rosencrantz and gildenstern are dead, and a dvd of the reduced shakespeare company. yay :) i wanted both of those ( Read more... ) -

i am so very tired. i very much so need this break. if i could justify not going to work tomorrow, i would. but alas, that is not an option. today wasn't even really bad, but the rest of the week has just been completely exhausting and i have nothing left ( Read more... ) -

i'm up way too early on a saturday morning. alas, this is not by choice, and will happen again tomorrow. some time over a month ago, i was dumb enough to agree to work at JO qualifiers, somehow not connecting the "be there by 7:30" with the "it takes an hour to get there" bit. *sigh* at least i'm carpooling with mike, so i can make him drive ( Read more... ) -

it's not fair. he was such a great man. he had an adorable daughter. he was supposed to be getting married in 2 months. he was a great coach. and now he's gone... -

just got a call from annette (co-teacher of mine). tony (coworker, history teacher) was in a wreck tonight. don't know much, but what i do know doesn't sound good. he was taken to UNC hospitals with head injuries. his fiance angie (coworker, english teacher) was apparently too upset to drive herself to the hospital to see him, and had to have ( Read more... )
