Nobody Here But Us Sehlats

I have released three emergency beacons and set them broadcasting a distress signal for the USS Cairo, which has not responded to any communications and is presumed to be incapacitated with, in the words of Doctor
Mib Khan, a "bad case of
Lotharitis."
Aboard the runabout with me are my Federation analog
Storvik, our daughter
T'Sorvik, Lieutenant Heavens, and the aforementioned doctor. We are now maintaining communications silence outside the system, keeping the USS Cairo within passive sensor range, while we await developments. I have already plotted a course away in case of emergency - with the rest of the fleet gone, we would have no chance of defeating the ISS Voyager were it to be the first vessel to return here.
As our infant daughter sleeps in the arms of Ms. Heavens, and the doctor monitors the sensors, I must discuss with
Storvik our plans for the rearing of
T'Sorvik - and how those plans differ from the plans formed by others.
