Mib Khan is still a bastard. Even after I got drunk with him, ensuring that he was even more intoxicated than I, I was unable to get him to agree to a simple request. Even if we escape on the Murgatroid, we will not be able to stay there. I would use my vessel Surak's Razor, were it only here - it is but a temporary inconvenience when someone steals it, since I have been stealing it longer than anyone else - but it was in an unusable state when it was abandoned. Someday, I shall repair and reclaim what is mine, but this is not the occasion for such plans. Perhaps
Lothar is planning to "salvage" parts from the USS Cairo to repair it himself; but I do not believe that he would arrive here in time with it.
Were it not for my past … relations … with the Orion Syndicate, I would attempt to procure a vessel from the criminal element here on Deep Space Nine. Instead, I am forced to avoid them.
Perhaps I should make another attempt with another Khan?
