Is there a way of contributing directly, without having to go through PayPal? Site says it takes 3 to 5 working days to add funds to a new account.

Tell you what - go ahead and do PayPal, and under separate email or PM let me know how much you're contributing. I'll cover that amount when I make the donation and then get reimbursed when PayPal sorts itself out. That work for you?

I sent something from my "serious things like banking" address... it has been so long since I used Paypal that I have no idea if it went through or not, so let me know if there are any problems that you can see.
