Alaska

This post is dedicated to Heather! :)

So I had a wonderful time on my trip. I got to be with Jordan 24/7 for a whole week and a half and I saw a lot of really beautiful landscapes and animals. My mom was like "You guys didn't get sick of each other?" Nope, in fact, I think it only helped to bond us together more. I'm not usually one to get all mushy about stuff, but I have to say I honestly love spending all my time with Jordan. We're so alike it's scary. We finish each other's sentences and say what the other is thinking at that moment. Hell, we even have a link to share hiccups. I'm serious. While in Alaska, I had the hiccups walking into a town and when I went to hold Jordan's hand, they stopped. He hiccuped once and they were gone. We both got frightened. O__O But yeah, that's the end of my love dove stuff. I'm head over heels for him and he is always saying that he is the same for me. <3

Anyways, Alaska. Fun to visit, but I would never want to live there. It's sooooo expensive. They really take advantage of the tourists. Every thing we did cost like 50 or 75 bucks a person. We did a tour of the Denali Park and I was able to see wolves in the wild! :) It was a mother wolf and she had two pups with her. We also saw Grizzly Bears, Caribou, Dall Sheep, and a Red Fox. The fox walked right by the side of the bus and looked at me. Such a pretty animal. At a small outlook station where you are able to take pictures of Mt. McKinley, a ground squirrel came right up to me and touch my shoe.

This is Mt. McKinlely

The next day we went to a place where you could see Iditarod Dogs. I took pictures of all the dogs. Here are a few pictures of them.

This one was my favorite. When you went near them they kind of gave off a "I'll bite you vibe", but when I bent down next to all of them, especially this one, they threw themselves at you to be petted. :)

Mountains are everywhere and the scenery was amazing. Here are two of my favorite scenery pictures.

We also went on a boat tour. I saw Killer and Humpback Whales!

Favorite Orca Pic.

We went near a glacier and as we got closer to it, you could see all the ice that was floating around it. A harbor seal watched us while we were stopped there. We also saw Puffins flying, Seal Lions sun bathing, and Bald Eagles sitting in trees. At the end of the tour, we stopped at Fox Island for dinner. Fox Island is apparently where the Stone Skipping Contests are held. The record is 28 skips!

Jordan getting ready to skip. I made one skip six times! :)

We went to a place called Exit Glacier. You had to walk up a mountain in order to get to it. You feel kind of small looking at it. I just kept thinking about how during the Ice Age, the land we stand on now was hundreds of feet below this stuff.

We went to a lot of zoos and small towns with tourist's shops.

Someone had a Reindeer at their shop, so I fed it. It's name was Joliee

Now for some of my favorite zoo pictures.

Jordan's cousin who lives there took us on the Army Base and I got a couple of pictures of fighter planes. We also got to go into the big store where only army personnel and their families could buy stuff. However since, Jordan's cousin was in the army still and works for them, he helped us out in buying stuff.

Finally, I got to fish for Salmon. I had to go and buy weighters. LoL. Jordan and I didn't catch anything and by the end of our day we were cold and miserable. However, the trip was worth while because across the lake we saw a momma Grizzly and her three cubs come out of the bush to fish. She dove in and caught one. Such a wonderful experience to be a part of. ;)

Jordan being a spaz. <3

So yeah, that was my trip. Glad I was invited to go cuz it's something I'll never forget.
