Day 18 - Favorite protagonist.
Well, Leon and Luke are still high on the list, but let's get some new people for this one.
Neku Sakuraba from The World Ends With You - Neku starts out as a real jerk in the game. He can't stand people and therefore relies on no one. However, he soon learns he needs to make friends in order to survive the game he is in. I really enjoyed his character development and the dialogues he has with others are amusing. He begins to see that friends are worth having and that if he can make it to his second chance at life, he will start it off right and not push others away.
Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney Investigations - I love Miles so much. Obey The Neck Ruffle!!! He is a elegant emo-ish character with a traumatic past. In the new game, he is the star and hunts down criminals throughout a variety of cases. Miles appeared alongside his rival, Phoenix Wright in the other Ace Attorney games and in all of them, whether the developers meant it or not, dialogues between the two show that they have a small obsession with each other. Hence me calling them my Gay Lawyer Love games. Miles likes order and being refined and it is hilarious to see someone embarrass him within the games. He doesn't like showing to much emotion and relies on LOGIC instead of feelings to get him through his cases.
Day 19 - Picture of a game setting you wish you lived in.
Alan Wake - The Cabin on the Lake. I love this. It's beautiful and peaceful.
Day 20 - Favorite genre.
SURVIVAL HORROR
The girl in the last picture is Alma and she scares the shit out of me. I have never been so frighten of anything in a game. She is a creepy ass child that follows you through the FEAR games and whispers stuff to you. Sometimes she will just appear and stare at you. When Jordan and me played through FEAR 2, she appeared suddenly staring up at us with yellow eyes and we both freaked. Damn, now I'm getting spooked and I have to go pee...it's dark out there in the hallway...
Day 21 - Game with the best story.
Mystery Case Files : Ravenhearst Manor - This was an awesome game. It is a hidden object one, but had a very interesting story. Basically you find yourself in a mansion where you are trying to unlock a bunch of doors and retrieve missing pages of a woman's (Emma) diary who lived there many years ago. Through the diary, you learn the woman's story of how a man named Charles fell madly in love with her. She didn't return his love though and this drove him to insanity. He kept her within the mansion, slowly poisoning her, and building all these weird rooms that you are unlocking. Charles learned that by adding all these rooms to the house would keep a spirit confused and trapped within it. This is what he wanted, for him and Emma to be together forever. You end up finding where Charles buried Emma and set her spirit free by unlocking all the doors. Very cool game!
The World Ends With You - This was a refreashing story to play through. People who died in the real world have a second chance to get their life back by playing a game in a sub-underworld. They have to survive a week in this world and then they will get their life back. If they die, then they are gone for good. The storyline was very unique to me and the power ups and fighting were pretty cool on the DS.
Day 22 - A game sequel which disappointed you.
Phoenix Wright - Trials and Tribulations
This is actually the third game in the installment. I liked the second one. I just didn't really connect with this game. I didn't like the cases and the new characters came off as cheesy and kind of lame.
Done for now. Enjoyed my Black Friday off! Just stayed at home with mom putting Christmas stuff up and reading a book! Work tomorrow from 8:00am - 3:30pm then I wait till Jordan gets out of work to hang out. :)
