I love that you updated this. I was so resigned, so sadly resigned to never see another chapter and after a truly awful terrible day this shows up. I love this. This unrelenting relationship between Mohinder and Sylar, the hard-edged Peter and the sense of history we see in Kane's interactions. And of course, Bennet, always trying to find a solution...

I'm full of admirations of how you manage to hold and interweave all these different story threads. I'll always be fond of Zane, that tidbit about how he tidies after Mohinder's just lovely, but this Sylar, too, is lovely, because he did make Zane, just like Mohinder said. The layers of lies might take a while to peel away and to heal from though...

It's just..immensely comforting reading this chapter knowing that you've picked up the story again. :D

And thank you so much for your very kind comments. I really love writing these characters, and as much as I had a pretty clean slate to work with in Zane, I'm kind of enchanted by Sylar and seeing how he deals with his past and if he even wants to give it up...

I shall endeavor to bring you more a little sooner than last time!

Ummm... I shall try. :( I'm working on the next part now but I leave for England this weekend for 9 days and... well, hopefully ya'll can wait until mid-March for the next part??? *ducks flying fruit*

You really get the voices of the different characters and I like how the connections between each section is felt in some way...them being tied together.

Thank you very much for saying so! My biggest challenge with this story is trying to keep everyone involved in the same storyline without them actually... being involved in the same storyline. Eventually, they'll be coming together. But until then - it's difficult to not feel like I'm writing all of these separate fics and just *shoving* them together.

Really like having Matt call out Bennet on his Claire tunnel vision. So true and, if you're Claire it's fine but if you're anyone else you're pretty much expendable in Bennet's eyes. *nods* It's my biggest complaint about Bennet, and I can't imagine why people don't call
