School starts tomorrow

Color me kind of sad. Where did the summer go? It feels like it was only three weeks long this year. So, to cheer me up some summery menz.

I think it's kind of cruel that they start you on Monday. You have to jump right into a full week, full throttle, cold turkey. That's rough--for you and the kids.

Actually, the kids don't start until Wednesday - and that is only half day for them. So, it's not so bad. But bad enough. LOL

Well, I feel a little bit better then. Our schools traditionally start the Wednesday after Labor Day. But it's a full day from the git go.

This is the first time ever for the admin to give us two days of paid time to get things ready and I have to say it has made a huge difference in how I feel. To me, at least, it seems like they are saying my time is valuable and they know I have to spend time prepping to be ready for the kids.

We did have a couple of short meetings and some of the usual stuff (all the sexual harrassment paperwork, child abuse directives, etc. - You know what I mean) but they really kept it to a minimum and were very positive in what they said to us. I appreciated the hell out of that!
