In a quick browse of the comics, I couldn't find a more plain and simple example than this, of Creationists presenting a conversation that most of us would assume was a case against Creationism, until they throw in a line at the end, betraying that they had long-since settled ( Read more... )

Question: So... were all dinosaurs (and presumably other animals... even humans?) in Eden supposed to be vegetarians?

What they said is true. Creations suppose that the dinosaurs found ways to eat exclusively plants (including the carnivours) using all their physical apparatus, much of which is 'designed for' other things.
Some, however, go further into the Pentacostal notion of 'the deforming effects of sin', and imply that some animal morphologies (such as meat-eating capabilities) are the result of the sin that got into the animals (presumably from Adam and Eve, somehow) and modified them.
These are the same people who, today, claim that while there appear to be other, material causes, in reality physical deformaties and all other problems are caused by the effects of sin or 'demons' in the body. Removing these is how a lot of faith healing is said (and I emphasise the 'said') to work.
When you think about it, it's so close to the Thetan theory of Scientology that it's frightening :s
