You are saying exactly the same thing man. What I was trying to point out is that if the birth of Christ is a symbol and the choice of the date is purely arbitrary, the reason they chose 25th of December was to eradicate an ancient tradition and despite the fact that I may share the values celebrated, I consider this as abusive and unfair.

You can say whatever you want about christians, but they sure know one thing or two about marketting. They also did the same thing in ireland, in africa. I kinda respect them for that, i think it's clever. Let's adapt and give them what they want in order to conquer quietly. Much more efficient than the crusades if you ask me!

i stress myself out far too much when i try and think of reasoning behind christmas,

buy a crate of wine, a big box of chocolates, sit back and forget about the meaning of christmas until your too drunk to even think or its all over (which ever happens first), thats my plan anyway lol
