NO.

This is unfair. And WRONG. Do they know your situation? Can't you get another room or something?

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. If it'll do any good, go to the counselor and explain what's going on. If this bitch room mate of yours is driving you that insane, I don't see why they can't get you a new one.

Of course, I don't know your situation, so I can't speak for you. But this sucks. Maybe you can get your dad to help?

It IS unfair. And it's killer.

After email correspondence with the housing department, it's become apparent to me that they don't *care* what my situation is. They just want me to stay in the dorms for both semesters so that they can get my money. When I'm staying in the dorm the school requires me to have a meal plan. That's what this is.

I've already gone to dad begging, and he's tried to pull the strings, but there's nothing he can do since I'm bound by the "housing contract" I've never seen or signed before and I'll get kicked out if I don't pay for the second half of my housing year. And he says we just can't afford for me to have an apartment AND just pay for the stupid dorm, so, I'm just stuck.

How can you be bound by a contract you never signed?

Supposedly it's part of the deal, when I apply to live in the dorms, apparently I have to stay for both semesters unless I meet one of the five conditions stated above.

Though, I wish they would tell you this up front, you know, instead of sending emails about it later.

Funny you should mention that, because don't think I haven't pondered getting hitched to get out of this.
