Well this is it! No, no, no, not with the story, but with our
coclaim100 challenges! And, because we do love to celebrate, we are asking for drabble prompts again! So please, leave a word, phrase, or something, and we will write 100 words on it! Heck, leave several prompts :) We will make a separate post when we are done with all of them.

Previous story:
Moonlight Serenade A soft urgent beeping woke Alan and he unwrapped himself from spooning up against Robert to reach out and silence his alarm. He sat up, leaning his back against the headboard, and rubbed the sleep from his eyes.
Sensing a disturbance in his cocoon, Robert rolled to his other side with a groan, draping his arm across Alan's lap and pressing his head against his side.
"Are you awake?"
"No."
Robert's breath was warm against his side. Alan buried his fingers in Robert's hair, gently massaging his scalp. "Need to get up, love. Portugal, remember?"
Slowly, Robert blinked open his eyes. "Can we skip breakfast and stay in bed longer?" he mumbled hopefully, planting a small kiss at Alan's hip as an attempt at bribery.
"Making me nearly late to a taping is one thing. Making us late for our flight isn't."
"Too early to talk sense." But Robert rolled over anyway, lying flat on his back until Alan slipped glasses over his eyes, bringing the ceiling into focus.
Alan rested a hand on Robert's chest, wishing he could do things that were best not thought about if he really did want breakfast.
***
Once Robert had stumbled his way to the shower, Alan set about making breakfast: toast and fruit. Nothing too heavy before the flight. Alan puttered around the kitchen, taking time to clean out the icebox before they left for their trip. The toast popped up and he quickly started it again--they both liked their toast on the dark side.
On the outside, Alan was calm and methodical. On the inside, his mind was racing. Things between him and Robert seemed...normal. Like they had been...before. Alan sighed. He had been putting things off for too long. They needed to talk. But not now. Robert had willingly come back to him, but he was still trying to prepare himself for the event that the other man would flee again. Run off like he had in the past. Alan wanted to believe that Robert was staying, but there was still that shadow of a doubt that crept in around the edges when they were apart, and Alan had no idea how to stop it, he just knew he needed to trust Robert, but that seemed really hard to do right now. Alan set out the toast and fruit, then grabbed the full garbage bag and took it out to the kerb. He walked back in and heard the shower shut off.

Robert stood for several long minutes after he had switched off the water. The hot water hadn't relaxed him like it normally did. After he was done, he would towel off, eat breakfast, then they were going to go to Portugal. Portugal. Less than a week ago, Robert didn't even know the fate of his and Alan's relationship. If there would even be one to salvage. But things were fine. Things seemed better than fine. But Alan was not the sort to just let things go. Had the past really been put behind them? Was he completely forgiven? He quickly exited the shower, taking a few cool steamless breaths, trying to keep calm instead of working himself into an anxiety attack. Things were fine, he repeated several times, wondering why it was so hard to convince himself of that.

Alan joined Robert at the table after filling their plates. "All packed?"
"Triple checked."
To Alan, Robert's smile seemed strained. He lowered his gaze to his plate, suddenly wishing they had decided to cuddle rather than breakfast. Maybe Robert was getting cold feet, ready to back out of their plans. "You okay, love?" he finally asked.
Robert paused, fork nearly to his mouth. He nodded. "Yeah. Just a little overwhelmed," he admitted.
Alan reached out a hand and laid it on Robert's arm. "I know, really I do."
Robert gave him a small smile, then went back to his fruit, finishing up the blueberries at the bottom of the bowl. "What time do we need to leave?"
Alan popped the last bit of pineapple into his mouth and stood to wash out his dishes. "Forty-five minutes. We can grab a cab. Done?" He motioned to Robert's plate.
"Yes, thanks. Here, Alan, let me." He stood and took the plates from Alan's hands, placing them back on the table. "You go take your shower. Maybe we will have some time after to..." Robert let the sentence hang, wrapping his arms around Alan and giving him a small kiss on the neck before scooting him out of the room.
"Yes, sir." Winking, he walked down the hall to the bathroom.
***
After what was probably his shortest shower ever, Alan joined Robert in front of the telly. It was turned on, but the sound was muted. "I can hear you thinking," Alan said as he sat.
"Can't help it." Robert tilted to lean against Alan's side.
Alan wrapped his arm around Robert, rubbing his hand up and down the other man's arm, shoulder to elbow. "Going to share?"
"I would rather..." Robert ran his hand up Alan's thigh, resting it at the vee of his body, trying to distract both of them.
"If we start, we won't have time to finish," Alan laughed, removing Robert's hand and kissing the palm. He looked into Robert's eyes, and could see a touch of something there. Perhaps worry. He wondered what Robert was seeing in his own eyes.
They sat side by side for a bit, neither wanting to talk about how things were going, happy to just wait till they were out of town on neutral territory. Alan looked at Robert’s watch, realizing that the cab should be there soon. Not a minute later, he heard the dulcet sounds of a horn. “Come on, let’s get going.” He patted Robert's thigh.
Robert pulled away with some reluctance; he had been finally comfortable enough to drift off and was enjoying the equally comfortable silence they had found together. "I'll go grab our bags," he said, standing.
“Great, I will get a surprise.”
Robert stopped and watched Alan squat in front of the DVD cabinet. “What are you bringing?”
“Get the bags. This is just a surprise for us to watch later.” Alan gave Robert his brightest smile.
The smile looked suspicious to Robert, and he gave Alan a long look as he walked down the hall.
Alan yelled out, “Trust me!”
Robert laughed. He had no idea what to expect. It could realistically be anything from porn to Pokemon. He really hoped that it lie some where in between. He stooped to pick up their bags from the bedroom and joined Alan, who was waiting at the door, carry on slung over his shoulder.
Alan opened the door. "Hurry up. Come on."
Robert rolled his eyes and walked out towards the cab, pausing on the sidewalk to watch as Alan locked up the flat and they walked up to the cab together. They slid into the back seat, legs pressed against each other in a reassuring way. Robert took a deep breath, letting it out in a laugh when he heard Alan do the same thing beside him.
Alan noticed the cabbie was staring, and he realized he hadn't said his destination. "Heathrow, please."
Another long look from the mustached man, like he didn't quite trust them, before he pulled away from the kerb. But then it was like he had one eye focused on the road and one on his backseat occupants.
Alan had to laugh to himself. Maybe the man just recognized one of them, rather than thinking that they might jump each other while his back was turned. He felt a hand rest on his knee, and covered it briefly with his own, before lifting it and pretending to rummage in his bag. Robert smiled and returned his hand to his own side of the cab, sitting down a little more in the seat. Alan set his bag back at his feet and touched the last bit of heat left from Robert's hand on his leg as he looked out the window, his mind occupied with thoughts of Robert's body pressed to his in a more passionate manner, a broad smile creeping across his face as the city he loved blurred all around him.
