I don't think I want to write anymore... at least not for a long while. Maybe it's because I haven't read any good fanfics lately or I've gotten back to painting, I just suddenly lost interest. I have too much going on in my life right now to worry about pleasing my readers. Writing has seriously turned into more of a chore than a hobby. And it ( Read more... )

I know! *sniffles* you're never on even when I'm online.

I'm doing great. I switched to a new group within the company so I'm loving my job again. No more daily encounters with annoying bitches!

I can understand feeling like that. After all, I haven't updated anything in months. Just don't drop totally off the face of the earth! Appearing to harrass us all on occasion would be nice! ^^

Don't worry, I'll be peeking in every once in a while. Who knows, I might be in the writing mood again all of the sudden. Sometimes I don't even understand myself...

Once a hobby turns into a chore, that's when you have to step away from it for a while. *huggles* If I can wait, so can everybody else (besides, it's not like I have any room to talk ^_-).

And it's probably a combination of both.. good fanfics inspire more writing, and when old hobbies rear their heads, they take precedence again until you weary of it. (For good fics.. have you tried Rosefire's latest "Zero G" yet? It's rivalling "Dead Famous" right now for my favorite of her works)

Just remember, writing is done to please *yourself*, not your readers or anyone else. If it's not fun, stop and take a breather. Don't pay any attention to the jerks rudely demanding updates. As you've told me yourself, the true fans will wait.

Just as long as you keep posting in your LJ every once in a while to let us know you're alive, I'll be happy. :D

Exactly. And I've become so picky with my writing...

Yea, I've read Rosefire's Zero G. It's good but I think I need something with major fluff to get motivated.

*huggles elora* thanks for popping in and letting me know you're alive ^_^
