Well, I still have a job. I'm just getting paid less to do it. I don't know if i should be happy, pissed, saddened, etc. It's all very confusing.

The margaritas after work helped numb things though.

As your attorney, I advise you to rent a very fast car with no top. And you'll need the cocaine. Tape recorder for special music. Acapulco shirts. Get the hell out of N.J. for at least 48 hours.

Thank you Mr. lawyer. I think that's an excellent idea!

I'm sorry to hear it. I've been through the same thing with my old team at wireless. These were folks who all spoke during vacations and in our home lives. I felt like I grew up with them and then it was like "We" weren't "We" anymore. the job remained the same (maybe a little more work) but it didn't have the same team/family feeling that made it rock.

It's an icky feeling - you get to stay but you half feel guilty and mostly sad. I guess I'm trying to say, it sucks but it'll pass some. If it's any conciliation, we're pretty much all still in touch.

I have a feeling that that's how it's going to be here. The office has a weird feeling today.

Well, it's time to get the old resume up to date. It's nice not to feel forced right now, still having a job, but having your salary cut is pretty crazy.

Do you think it's valid for me to ask if I can take the percentage that they cut my salary and then apply that to the number of hours I work?

I say yes. Work can also count on you being a percentage less loyal to your job.

[hug]

I have a question that I have asked of every one of my friends and co-workers that have left the company involuntarily, "Is this a good or a bad thing for you?" - I'm glad that I don't have the opportunity to ask you.

Some of the folks said that they thought it was a good thing...

Take some time, talk it over with John and decide where You want this to lead.

My conservative side tells me that for the time being, in this economy, just be happy that I have a job and don't rock the boat. The other part of me thinks, 'this place blows - I want out!' Usually, the conservative side wins. Tom = risk averse

Thanks Clint. On the bright side, I'm still employed. Which is a good thing.
