Did anybody else find it amusing that it took Dawn of the Dead -- a movie where the dead rise to walk the earth -- to dethrone The Passion of the Christ -- a movie about a guy who rose from the dead to walk the earth?

Yes. Yes I did. (I mentioned this exact thing to a co-worker earlier today.)

If people in the year 30 A.D. (or thereabouts) knew what the people living in that shopping mall were able to figure out, would someone have stepped up and popped J.C. in the brain bucket as soon as he came back? If so, would the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints exist right now?

Damn ...we could have gotten rid of Mormons 2000 years ago.

If Jesus was *really* divine, he would have gotten his ass off that cross 30-45 seconds after dying and ate the fucking shit out of those Romans.

I guess there's your instant sequel to the Passion. It's weird, because at the end of the Passion, it seemed like they were teasing a sequel. ... Coming soon: "Passion 2: Electric Boogaloo"

Wait... in a movie about the death of Christ, they teased the possiblity of him coming back for more? Say it ain't so!
