I spent the past seven days in VA. It was a nice vacation from reality. I got to see my brother who was also in VA visiting people. Graduation day was nice. My program had a nice luncheon for everyone and I got to meet some of my friends' parents and family members. The ceremony it self was hot and crowded but pretty good. Watching the news is so depressing lately. CBS news mentioned China's one child policy today while covering the earthquake. I hadn't even considered that. A good friend of the family passed away today. He had a stroke a few weeks ago and was getting better; well enough to be moved to a Nursing Home for recovery; but he passed away this evening. He was simply one of the kindest men I have ever met. He lived a very good and full life though. I feel very sorry for another family friend who last her ( Read more... )

Today I went to the Dermatologist to get two moles biopsied and removed. There is only a very slim chance that the biopsies will come back as abnormal. It was more a precaution than anything given my family history of skin cancer. It was very quick and painless. One the cut out and gave me three stitches on; the other they just burned off. I will be done with classes at the end of the week. Soon it will all be over. On the one hand I can't wait. But on the other hand this terrifies me. Slowly over the past few days this weird feeling has been creeping over me.
