I just looked, and it's the "Screen Comments" setting. Down and to the right on my screen. The options are Default (suggesting there's a way to set a default setting for this), anonymous, non-friends, and all comments. Depending on exactly who's causing trouble, anonymous or non-friends would be the right setting.

I put you on my friends a few days ago when I put everyone else on. Before then I was neglecting my journal stuff in general, including not putting anyone in the friends list.

I did say some stuff to you on AIM but I'm just not much of a conversationalist. I wasn't deliberately ignoring you.
