i had this revelation last year during the holidays that it has taken 27 years for my family to be funny instead of annoying. and they are funny, i go over my parents' house on weekends more often than not just to LOL with them and the rest of the kids while taking shit to each other as we play cards or dominoes.
but this is why long term relationships are not feasible for me: i do not have the time or will to put into getting to know someone long enough to get past the annoying phase if it's gonna take 27 fucking years.
however, i suspect that spending more than vacation time with them constantly would reverse all this progress we've made in the Not Annoying department.
yeah - i'm fine with the visiting them, and vacationing with them part of it. and i love the all to death. it's just different actually LIVING with them. before when i got annoyed or, tired, or just sick of hearing screaming kids, i could say, "okay guys! unca papa is gonna go home!" then i would go home, and get my fuck on. now, i'm stuck here with it, can't really leave it (aside from work and gym), and no sex.
