I have come to the conclusion, that livejournals, xangas, instant messaging and all those other cyberculture outlets are nothing but a waste of time. everything you just said was true and i wish i had come up with something similar to that. the only problem is that, for the most part, our government doesn't care what we think. i heard many politicians say "i want the young people of america to stand up for what they believe in!" when in reality they don't because most people have the same outlook on government: there shouldn't be a "government". Most teenagers are like little anarchists. You think people in power want that to spread around this country? Most teenagers DO follow politics in one way or another and HATE the system in which this country in one way or another. TV shows like The Daily Show doesn't seem to help things either (which most young people watch). I agree with everything you said but it's never gonna happen. As long as we have Halo 2 and Madden 2006 around, nothing will ever change. That sucks ass, but that's what we've done to ourselves.

Mm, but what you fail to see is your ability to use what you think is polluting the generation, which you can use to your advantage. How many people use LiveJournal, Xanga, MySpace? Millions. Millions of people to get in touch with, to change, to influence, to bring out of the stupor of society, which, yes, leans on the media, but doesn't understand the strength it can have for the better as well, if it were usd against the Big Bad Media persons. If this is your weapon of mass destruction, use it to hold the world at ransom for integrity and a return to the finer life of intellect and philosophy.
