After years of insistence, I finally relented and went looking for a local YMCA.

A thing with my Dad I can't even begin to explain, he felt I needed to find one to get some sense of community. Spend less time by myself.

So I did a search, their website provided the way...

yeahhhhh the Y is just a gym for the elites now like just about everything else that used to be for those of us toward the bottom of the heap...the Village People song makes absolutely no sense to anyone younger than GenX and not even all of us lol. "stay? stay where? they have a vending machine, was that a meal?" NeverMIND the subtext of the song lmaoooooo.

some of em at least have sliding scale income based membership rates but fffffff...

ed: oh, and yeah, Gilead medical/pharmaceutical company freaks me out lol

I can relate for I was in the same boat for a number of occasions. I used to go to a swimming pool at the local university where entry fee is quite high as well but they have public hours which is more or less affordable.
